Forecasts predict somewhere between 4 to 8 inches of snow in Chicago through Friday evening. The plows are out working to clear the streets and ease the evening commute. According to the city's website all 275 plows are currently working on the main routes. After those are clear, the plows will head to the residential streets.

You can track the plowing progress on your street through the city's site or Derek Eder's ClearStreets app. The city site follows a plow’s progress in real time. Eder's app allows you to see which sections of streets have already been plowed. His site uses the same GPS data from the plows to determine which direction the plow most likely went.
