A security guard on shift at a McDonald’s found himself in a tight situation when he was tasked with dispersing a mob of teenagers at the restaurant.

At around 10:30 p.m. on March 26, a group of about 30 teenagers entered the McDonald’s on the 600 block of North Clark Street and began disrupting the establishment. The security guard, an off-duty Melrose Park police officer, told police that when he tried to direct the crowd out of the restaurant, one of the offenders attempted to remove the gun from his holster.

“Take the gun off po po and step outside. I’ll kick your ass,” said the offender, believed to be between 15 and 18 years old, according to the guard. The guard then went outside and flagged down a passing Chicago police squad car, at which point the group fled from the restaurant in a southbound direction.

The man offered to show her the way, and eventually invited her to his room at the hotel, the man told police. At this point, the woman became aggressive and began grabbing his crotch, he said, and when he refused her advances she got angry and produced a knife from her purse.

The man attempted to call the front desk, but the woman snatched the cord from the phone and took the man’s wallet and iPhone before running into the hall. A brief struggle followed, but in the end the woman was able to escape with the man’s belongings.
