New 'Superman' rumored to film in Chicago

Yet another Hollywood blockbuster may be on pace to film in the Chicago area, according to reports.
Superman: Man of Steel has set its heat-seeking vision sights on the area, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.
Crain’s reports the new movie could film in the far western suburb of Plano. Such a move could put metropolitan Chicago in line to be the set of Metropolis, the home of Superman — er, Clark Kent.
The movie is set to star Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as the Kent parents, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
But Rich Moskal, director of the Chicago Film office, said rumors of filming in the city itself are premature at this point.
“There’s a fair amount of speculation,” Moskal told Chicago Journal in a phone interview. “Right now, they’re still very much in the decision-making process.”
