A so-called super moon rises above Chicago’s South Loop skyline on Saturday. A super moon occurs every 18 years, when the earth’s moon reaches its closest proximity to our planet and can appear larger than normal. Cloudy skies put a damper on the view, but it did make an brief appearance.
