Meet Rain
Rain is an adorable, 2-year-old kitty who was rescued from a hard life outdoors. Poor Rain was just a tiny kitten when he was found; he was cold, wet, and nearly starving. After being humanely trapped, his rescuers brought him to PAWS to find a family to care for him. Despite such a rough beginning, Rain is a sweet cat who wouldn’t hurt a fly. His gentle disposition is impossible not to love. However, he is frightened of loud noises and does best when introduced to new people and places slowly. Rain truly blossomed in his foster home, and became a warm and friendly boy who loves to snuggle and play! He gets along well with other cats and is very mellow. All he needs is a caring animal-lover who understands his story. Will you be Rain’s hero?
Meet Phideaux
Phideaux is a loyal and sweet Shepherd mix. Originally a stray, this handsome boy arrived at PAWS Chicago last summer, and has since been waiting for a family to love. Although he is missing an ear, Phideaux’s hearing is normal and he is very attentive and alert. His big brown eyes and dignified expression are hard to resist! At 6-years-old, Phideaux is a mellow dog who likes to nap at his favorite people’s feet. Typical to the Shepherd breed, Phideaux has some stiffness in his hips, so he needs a daily joint supplement and would love to have an orthopedic bed to lounge around in. He likes taking walks, but enjoys exercise in small doses. Phideaux loves to be around people, but does best when introduced to new friends slowly. This sweetheart can’t wait to find a low-key family who will give him all the love that he has been missing.
