EACH OF US HAS A STAKE in research on Alzheimerís disease, because statistics show many of us will fall victim to this debilitating scourge as we age. The 25th anniversary Rita Hayworth gala at the Hilton raised an impressive $1 million. Welcoming guests were chair June Barnard and Alzheimer president Harry Johns. Honored were veteran supporters Joan and Paul Rubschlager who have personally pledged more than $1 million to fund research. In Illinois alone, 200,000 are afflicted.

I wrote a short film trailer about Rita Hayworth spanning her life with a focus about her battling the disease and misdiagnosis of alcoholism since doctors didn't know what Alzheimer's was when she started showing symptoms. The film will be used for both entertainment and awareness. Please watch the 30 sec clip and help spread the word about getting this important film made. No one has done anything like this, and it is to show what she went through to evoke understanding. Thanks in advance!
