Pearl
Pearl is a beautiful, 5-year-old Akita mix. This affectionate girl has never met a person that she didn’t like, and can often be found lying on her back for a belly rub, or trying to cuddle her way into someone’s lap. This calm, gentle pooch loves being near people and would prefer to be an only pet, so that she can receive all the attention. Pearl is house-trained, and while she likes her crate, she also does well when left alone loose in the house for a few hours at a time. She loves riding in the car, and is very patient when being brushed or bathed. Pearl also knows her basic commands.
Iko
Meet Iko! This 3-year-old cuddly, brown tabby was given up by his previous owner in early Autumn. PAWS Chicago volunteers say Iko is a clever and curious boy who is quite a character. Iko can amuse himself with just about anything, although cardboard boxes and paper grocery bags are his favorite. This teddy bear loves people, especially women! When this ladies’ man isn’t snuggling or purring up a storm, he can often be found gazing out the window, watching the world go by. Iko could be happy as an only pet, or with another FIV+ kitty, as long as he gets lots of back scratches and unconditional love.
Iko is a healthy, FIV+ cat who is not on any medication. Learn more about Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) at PAWS Chicago, 1997 N. Clybourn
